That is some dedicated staff! I feel like most people would just step aside and let them go.

51

u/eddiemercurykelley May 26 '22

actually they are the owners

14

u/Octopusexprt77 May 27 '22

The one pitching in with the chair was a customer trying to help! Talk about customer loyalty!

9

u/Miguel7501 May 26 '22

Must be a real good boss if they're willing to get hurt over things they don't own.

7

u/GerBear_ May 27 '22

It’s a family business, I think the article said those were the kids of the owner

-5

u/DChemdawg May 27 '22

And you know the organizational and ownership structure of this business how?

3

u/ToxicBamm May 29 '22

The article?

More guns than people in this country and these guys don’t even use an AR15…respect. Or they got lucky the robbers didn’t.

u/Trenchplatesdiaries May 26 '22

Was Huntington Beach and the staff are family owners if I heard it right. Makes sense why stepped up so hard, came out swinging. The home turf.

Did the first guy who smashed the glass get away with anything?

13

u/SpiritualReality1959 May 27 '22 Helpful

Looks like one of them got away with a small jewelry box so I’d say it wasn’t worth it for them at all, serves them right.

23

u/AjaxOutlaw May 26 '22

Thieves should’ve chose a chain store lmao

8

u/tinytulpa May 27 '22

"If it's a chain it's free reign,

and if it's Hobby Lobby, the world is your oyster

Steal from them they're homophobic"

4

u/AjaxOutlaw May 27 '22

Didn’t they also steal artifacts from the Middle East?

5

u/tinytulpa May 27 '22

Yes they did, or funded some museum doing it or something like that

16

u/Alarming_Fig4010 May 26 '22

COMING IN WITH THE CHAIR!!

The way the employees came out Kung Fu Fighting, I think they waited their whole life for that moment.

9

u/tylercob May 26 '22

They could use a guard dog or two.

16

u/eddiemercurykelley May 26 '22

these were the owners. please stop stealing other peoples stuff. it's hard enough being a small business.

3

u/0110010E May 26 '22

3

u/CreoOookies May 27 '22

They attacked like they got the TIP and said, “fuck calling the police, we will handle this ourselves.”

Then they pulled out the Vaseline and mouthpieces.

3

u/Bell-Cautious May 27 '22

Props to the ladies here.. that was impressive!

2

u/KingCarbon1807 May 27 '22

Why you don't hit family owned stores. You want to get away with this shit go roll a Jared's.

2

u/Gigglyonaronanomicon May 26 '22

Gotta earn that minimum wage. Protect the jewels with your life or you're fired

-4

u/losttraveler36 May 26 '22

This... doesn’t make sense. Isn’t the jewelry insured? Let them steal it, don’t risk your life

3

u/Far_Elk8799 May 26 '22

I'm not insuring a place that doesn't try to prevent theft. That would be a charity, not insurance.

2

u/Wizdad-1000 May 26 '22

FYI jewllers always keep glass or low end jellewry in the case. They have secure safe for unset jems that are high value. This is specifically for smash n grabs

2

u/Alternative-Annual-2 May 27 '22

Yeahhhh insurance does not give you full declared value and for the record they would return again and again with that mentality

1

u/LilChief May 26 '22

That’s not true at all.

0

u/IntrepidSink2908 May 26 '22

Depends might not be enough money given to them also its called standing your ground.

1

u/jroddie4 May 27 '22

They should have kept one

1

u/IssaEats223 May 28 '22

I’m surprised, glad, and upset due to the fact that there wasn’t a firearm involved here

1

u/Fantastic_Dingo8161 May 30 '22

Aye that solid asf for that lol they some real ones
